Martha B. Boone, M.D.
Dr. Boone has been a urologist for 15 years. She is one of only two board certified by the American Board of Urology female urologists in Georgia, who is also fellowship trained in female urology. Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Boone enjoyed a fulfilling academic career. She was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Boone was Director of the Urodynamics and Urinary Tract Reconstruction Program at Oschner. During her career in academic urology, Dr. Boone was the Director of the Urodynamics Unit and The Veterans Administration Spinal Cord Urology Unit in Augusta.
Dr. Boone has been responsible for educating medical students, urology and gynecology residents, nurses and other doctors. Her special interests include female urology and she greatly enjoys performing surgeries for kidney stones.
Dr. Boone has lectured extensively to local, national and international groups. In her capacity as the Medical Director of the Urodiagnostics Laboratory at Northside Hospital, she has lectured to primary care physicians in the Atlanta area and all over the Southeast.
Dr. Boone was privileged to speak at the International Urogynecology Association in Vienna, Austria during her academic career. She also did a public service program with actress Stefanie Powers for the American Foundation for Urologic Diseases that went to 54 television stations and 508 radio stations nationwide in 1998.
